If you have seen the new movie that Roger Ebert raved about, and many people you know are talking about, let's get together and share our experiences. I am a physician, a 20+ year vegetarian, and great comfort food cook. I want to help individuals starting down this path for the first time to be successful. So I will help with cooking classes and suggestions to feed one or a family, and to be happy and feel well fed.

The Newbury Park Adventure Society is about adventuring, hiking and socializing for adults in the Newbury Park and Thousand Oaks area.  Distinct features of this group include emphasis on local activities that are very nearby and easy-to-get-to, often scheduled for late afternoons, and with some having standing weekly times, and with expectations of only modest hiking speeds or endurance.
